The Pluto Controversy Continues

In a brilliant stroke of creativity, the International Astronomical Union has announced a new name for Pluto-like objects in the solar system: Plutoids. This follows on their 2006 decision to classify planets in such a way that Pluto was excepted, leaving the solar system with officially only eight planets.
